The "marriage" of two neighbouring accountancy firms has prompted their move into the grand surroundings of a former Cottingley mill.
In April this year, Manningham-based Watson Wood merged with neighbouring chartered accountants Buckle's.
The two firms - both formed nearly 100 years ago - had operated within 70 yards of each other and saw the merger as the ideal way to expand.
Susan Sedgwick, one of Watson Wood & Buckle's seven partners, said that since the partnership was signed, they had continued to operate from the separate sites in Manningham Lane and nearby Walmer Villas.
She said: "The thought behind the merger was essentially one of size. By coming together we hope to be more attractive through a larger range of services."
As well as providing a better service for existing clients, the combined firm aimed to bring in new custom and challenge the large players in the field said, said Mrs Sedgwick.
To improve the cohesion between the firms the combined 40-strong workforce is now preparing to make the move to the former spinning mill by Cottingley.
Mrs Sedgwick said: "The refurbishment started in July and we aim to be in the building in November.
"The building is on three levels and covers 15,000 sq ft of which we will cover 11,000."
Fellow partner Phillip Smith said Watson Wood & Buckle was now one of the largest independent firms in Bradford.
He said: "I think our move to Cottingley shows our commitment to the business community in Bradford and district."
