Bradford Bulls will not stand in Matthew Elliott's way if he accepts an offer from a leading club Down Under.
Wests Tigers are the latest club to show interest in the Bulls boss who was also linked with posts at St George-Illawarra, and Newcastle Knights before they filled their posts with the appointment of Andrew Farrar and Mike Hagan respectively.
Elliott, pictured below, has subsequently signed a new two-year deal but Caisley has revealed it does include an escape clause.
"It states that if at any time Matthew does receive an offer from an NRL club and he wants to go he will be allowed to do so.
"We would obviously hope that that doesn't happen and the fact that he has agreed to stay for another two years suggests that he is happy to stay.
"But if there comes a point during the time he is under contract when he wants to be somewhere else we will not be standing in his way.
"It would do the club no good to let that happen and it is a similar case to the one when Parramatta came in for Brian Smith."
But Caisley stressed that he had certainly not received any official approach for Elliott from Wests Tigers who were formed following the merger of Balmain Tigers and Western Suburbs.
The Sydney-based club have been interviewing prospective candidates following the departure of former Test forward Wayne Pearce earlier this month.
Former Canterbury Bulldogs stalwart Terry Lamb, ex-Balmain scrum-half Gary Freeman and one-time Gold Coast coach Phil Economidis are also in the running.
Meanwhile Caisley has declined to comment on speculation that the club are targeting Wigan back-rower Lee Gilmour and Warrington centre Toa Kohe-Love for next season.
Some reports suggest Gilmour has already agreed to join them at the end of the season and that terms have been agreed with the Warriors for the 22-year-old.
But Caisley was keeping his cards to his chest saying only: "We are always interested in good players and but we will only make announcements at the appropriate time."
Meanwhile Bulls winger Tevita Vaikona has been named in the official 26-man Tonga squad for the forthcoming World Cup.
The part also includes three-quarter Phil Howlett, who had had a short stint with the Bulls last season, and Wakefield Trinity prop Martin Masella.
