Midfielder Sergio Campolo gets a run-out with Bradford City Reserves in tonight's opening Pontin's League clash with Manchester United at Bury's Gigg Lane ground (7.00).

The 28-year-old is a friend of City's new Italian hero Benito Carbone and is being given a trial by the Bantams following his release by Serie A side Perugia.

City have received international clearance and manager Chris Hutchings said: "It is simply a matter of having a look at him at this stage and seeing what he can do."

Campolo, who has watched City's opening two Premier-ship games, began his career with Carbone at Reggiana, and also had two seasons with Fiorentina.

City field a side packed with experience tonight, including Peter Beagrie and Ashley Ward, who were both on the bench in the 2-0 win over Chelsea on Tuesday night.

"They are both down on game time at the moment and this is a way of helping them reach full fitness," said Hutchings.

Gary Walsh is in goal and there are also places for Gunnar Halle, Andy Myers, Wayne Jacobs and Jamie Lawrence.

Meanwhile, City secretary Jon Pollard has asked fans to arrive earlier for games following congestion at the turnstiles on Tuesday night which forced the kick-off to be delayed for ten minutes.

"We had a problem with people not arriving to pick up their tickets until 7.30pm, and that is too late really," he said.

"There was also a delay with new season ticket holders finding their way around too."

City Reserves: Walsh, Halle, Bower, Myers, Jacobs, Beagrie, Kerr, Campolo, Lawrence, Ward, Grant. Subs: (from) Davison, Hardy, Jones, Emmanuel, Fishlock, Lee.
