SUZANNE ROBERTS continued her successful season with first place in the Northern Women's Inter-Counties championship.
She took the hammer championship with a throw of 56.64 metres, a championship best performance by over six metres.
On Saturday she took third place in the Womens National Jubilee Cup at Bedford with a throw of 57:36m.
Frances Noble also enjoyed success at the northern inter-counties competition taking second place in the Under-15 long jumps with a jump of 5 metres. She was beaten into second place only on a countback.
Oliver Brewer was second in t he steeplechase at the Northern mens inter-counties event with a time of 4mins 38secs and Ben Manchester was also second in the 100m hurdles semi-final in a new personal best of 14.06, he was third in the final with 1415secs.
On Bank Holiday Monday Suzanne, Anthony Gill, Alistair Clay, Nichole Crosby and Kelly Brow will be representing their clubs in the Northern Cup Final.
On Saturday Oliver Brewer runs at Bedford in the Uk Under-17 Championships with the final on Sunday of the 1500m Steeplechase.
France Noble take part in the long jump at the same competition.
Two Under-15 athletes will be taking part in the televised Norwich Union Classic Grand Prix meeting at Gateshead also on Monday, where they will be rubbing shoulders with the world class athletes taking part in the last competition before the Sydney Olympics.
Rebecca Long and Mark Hardman were selected from the Norwich Union Startrack Day held at Horsfall Stadium last month.
