Scott Naylor has a high regard for Wigan but he's confident the Bulls will prove pick of the Super League bunch by the middle of October.
"They are the second best team in the competition behind us and I think they will be the team we meet in the Grand Final.
"That is a reflection of how positively we are thinking at the moment and a win tomorrow will just give us that edge."
But if that is to be the case Naylor will need to be at his best to stamp out the threat of Wigan's former Aussie Test star Steve Renouf.
The former Brisbane Broncos prop has made a big impact after a tentative start to his career in England as his 18 tries in all competitions would indicate.
And after taking a well-earned rest against the Giants last week he is in the mood to press his claims for an England World Cup place.
"I feel much better for the rest," he admits. "I have played a lot of games this year, in fact I have played almost 60 games since I came to Bradford. It has been a long season and I was glad to sit that one out."
After some recent low key games the 28-year-old will certainly have no problems motivating himself for the match many are regarding as the most important in Super League this season.
For Naylor, a return to his first senior club gives the game an extra ingredient even though it's seven years since he left Wigan.
"It's always special," he says. "I had five years there. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it is always nice to go back.
"Graeme West was the coach and I had a good grounding but I needed to move on because of all the great players Wigan had at that time. The move to Bradford was the best I could have made and after winning the Challenge Cup we now want to go on and complete the double.
"The mood in the squad is excellent despite a recent quiet spell and we all know how important a win is tomorrow night. We feel we owe Wigan one after the two games with them earlier in the season. It's important we start to perform to our best again."
