Bradford City have had no approach for Ashley Westwood despite reports that Sheffield Wednesday would like to sign the 22-year-old defender.

Westwood is on a month's loan at Hillsborough where he has made a good impression and former City manager Paul Jewell, is believed to be interested in signing him on a permanent basis.

Hutchings and his predecessor met when their reserve sides drew 2-2 at Valley Parade last night and the City manager said: "Paul told me that Ashley has done well, but there has been no approach for him.

"I think he has got to find out from his board what he can and can't do.

"Wednesday have no game this weekend so Ashley can play one more match, against Wimbledon a week on Saturday, before he is due to return.

"If they want to do something they will have to get things moving in the early part of next week."

Another City player who is doing well on loan is striker Isaiah Rankin at Bolton.

He has scored two goals during his loan spell there and Hutchings said: "We have had him watched to assess his progress."

All of City's 3,000 tickets for next Tuesday's match against Manchester United at Old Trafford are expected to be sold today.

The tickets which have been on sale only to season ticket holders so far were due to go on general sale tomorrow, but, with only 150 still left at the start of today's business, it is highly unlikely there will be any left.
