Goalkeeper Matt Clarke believes Bradford City must make home advantage tell this season.
With City having taken five points from their first three tough matches at Valley Parade, Clarke believes the Bantams have made a good start to the season.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper, whose outstanding work played a big part in City's 1-1 home draw against Arsenal on Saturday, said: "We beat Chelsea and we made it hard for Arsenal.
"This is our fortress and we are going to make it difficult for everyone who comes here.
"Home form is crucial for us. We have got to take as many points as we can at home and it is good that we haven't been beaten yet. But we have also got to do well away from home.
"We didn't win as many as we would have liked away last season - we have got to do better this time.
"Arsenal was a great game to bounce back in after our 6-0 defeat at Manchester United.
"We defended well against Arsenal - we tend to do that against the top teams - but it is teams in the middle and bottom sections of the Premier-ship that we have to turn over.
"It is nice to take points off Chelsea and Arsenal, but we have got to take points off those lesser teams as well."
City have taken five points from their five matches in the toughest possible start to their Premiership campaign, having faced Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and early-season pace-setters Leices-ter City.
Manager Chris Hutchings said: "The first five fixtures were extremely tough.
"We have got to be reasonably pleased to get five points on the board from those matches.
"Anything you pick up against the top teams is a bonus and I have got to delighted with our five points so far.
"Now we have got to look at taking on the rest of the campaign.
"Our next two matches are Aston Villa away and Southampton at home. I am sure they will make it difficult for us, but we will tackle them with confidence."
The only injury from Saturday's match concerned defender Andy Myers who left the field nine minutes from the end with a hamstring injury.
"He will be having a scan," said Hutchings.
"Andy did well, especially in the first half when he got in some tackles and clearances and headers from corners."
Hutchings sprang a pre-match surprise by leaving last season's leading scorer Dean Windass out of the starting line-up.
He explained: "Dean looked heavy-legged against Leicester and things didn't come off for him at Manchester United, whereas Ashley Ward did very well when he came on at Old Trafford. That is what the squad system is for."
