Bradford Bulls will go ahead with their Player of the Year ceremony tonight despite the petrol crisis.
Chairman Chris Caisley has pledged to make every effort to get all of the club's players to the event at Pennington's Variety Bar.
He said this morning: "The situation is extremely difficult because we have players who live in Lancashire but we will be going ahead with the do and getting all our stars there.
"We owe that to our fans and we want to give them a great night."
The Bulls chief was today trying to assess the full impact the petrol crisis was having on his club.
He said: "It is not an easy situation for us. We need our players to be able to get in for training but they may well have big problems getting to Odsal."
Bulls may be forced to consider putting players into hotels to avoid the need for them to use their cars.
"It is something we may be forced to do but it would be an added expense which the club would have to stand."
St Helens coach Ian Mill-ward has already told his Yorkshire-based players to turn up with sleeping bags to beat the fuel problems.
