Taxi drivers could blockade Bradford city centre as the latest group to join the blockades protesting at fuel prices.
Members of the Bradford Hackney Carriages Association are due to meet on Wednesday night to discuss what action the 190 members should take.
Chairman of the Bradford branch Abid Hussain warned that unless an announcement was made on a drop in the price of fuel, the carriages would bring the centre to a standstill.
He said: "We are fully behind the other blockades going on in the country, it is time something was done about the prices.
"We will be meeting to see what the latest is on the prices and discuss what we should do. If there is no change from the Government there will definitely be some kind of action."
The fuel crisis is heading for its third day with petrol stations throughout the country dry after blockades by truckers and farmers at oil refineries and depots throughout the country.
Prices have rocketed by around 10p a litre for the remaining drops of fuel as motorists clamber to fill their cars.
