Non-League soccer is being disrupted by the fuel crisis.

Last night's UniBond Division One game between Guiseley and Stocks-bridge PS was called off as was Eccleshill United's Northern Count-ies East League Premier Division home fixture with Buxton.

Bradford Park Avenue have also been forced to call off tonight's UniBond Division One match with North Ferriby at Horsfall Stadium.

With teams finding it difficult to get their players to matches widespread disruption to the weekend programme cannot be ruled out unless the situation improves.

Park Avenue Press Officer Tim Clapham underlined the problems clubs like his are facing.

"With the current situation it would have been extremely difficult for us to get the whole first team squad to our ground.

"Goalkeeper Gavin Kelly lives on the east coast, Martin James comes from Manchester and the rest of the players are fairly well scattered.

"It is fairly difficult for us to think ahead to Saturday's FA Cup tie with Salford City but we will have to take a close look at the situation.

"There is no directive from the UniBond League or FA about blanket postponements but it is in the public interest for clubs to apply common sense at times like this."
