SPORTS and handicrafts were on show at Norwood's show and sports day.
Hundreds of villagers turned out for Saturday's annual event which saw for the first time the presentation of the Millennium Cup.
Handicraft classes were entered by both children and adults, there were plenty of sports events and at the end of the day a family rounders match and barbeque.
Winner of the Millennium Cup - donated by the Mid-Washburn Valley Millennium Committee and given to the child over ten years old with the highest number of points earned in the arts and crafts classes - was Stephanie Wilson. While James Paxton not only won the Show trophy for the most points earned by a child of under 10 years, but also the Fred Hathaway Rosebowl for the best miniature garden.
Ruth Brown won the prize for the adult with the most points in the handicraft classes.
In the pet show, Joshua and Melissa Best's guinea Pig won best in show with Rosemary Walker's Hen, Daisy, second and Tom Gill's ferret, Pip, in third.
