A COMMUNITY radio station which took the airwaves of Aireborough by storm this summer is to run again next year.
Guiseley FM, run entirely by
volunteers on a shoestring budget, is hoping to repeat its success of this year, when it was supported by the Wharfedale Observer.
Chairman of community organisation Project Guiseley, Richard Hughes-Rowlands, confirmed this week: "There will be another Guiseley FM next year, hopefully to coincide with the second Guiseley Festival.
"The events at the festival this year benefited considerably by the specially established station, which got fantastic feedback from the
community and proved to be very popular. I'm pleased it's going to happen again."
Meanwhile, a meeting of the
festival committee and anyone interested in helping in next year's event will be held at the Guiseley Parish Rooms, Towngate on Wednesday, September 20 at 7pm.
