From the Telegraph & Argus of September 14, 1975... A new extension to the Bradford RAF Association club in Mill Lane, Bradford, was opened by Air Vice-Marshal Sir Ben Ball, a vice-president of the association. The extension to the club and a new bar have cost about £25,000. The extension has been built on the site of two houses fronting onto Mill Lane. Bradford RAFA Club has been open 16 years and has 469 members in three classes - full, associate and friend.
From the Telegraph & Argus of September 14, 1950... When his ticket punch fell off the bus, a conductor became so excited that he pressed the bell four times, causing the driver to stop suddenly and an elderly woman to fall down inside the bus. The story was told at Bradford City Court when the conductor appeared on a summons alleging that he failed to take precautions to ensure the safety of passengers. The summons was dismissed.
