Keighley and Craven AC stages its popular nine mile point-to-point race - the Bront Way - next month.
Entry will be taken right up to and on the day - Sunday, October 15 - but transport is only guaranteed to the first 120 entrants.
Runners are bussed to the start at Wycoller country park near Trawden, Colne, before following a nine-mile off-road route back to Haworth which takes in Watersheddles and Ponden reservoirs and Bront Bridge.
Back by demand are the T-shirts for all entrants - plus a Haworth Main Street finish. And again, say the organisers, the emphasis is on the social as well as the competitive with food at the Fleece Inn finish.
Details of the race - entry for which is £5 - from Kevin Hopkinson on 01535 606611 ext 231 (day) or 01756 794979 (evening). Or e-mail at kevin.hopkinson@lancashire.newsquest.co.uk
Record-holders for the race which has been going since 1989 are Gary Oldfield (50 mins 39 secs) and Carol Greenwood (57-12), both set in 1997.
