AFTER the excitement of the 2000 Olympics, join us for your very own moment of glory by winning a medal in the first St Gemma's Annual Five-mile Race.
The race is on Sunday, October 8, at Roundhay Park, Leeds, at 10.00am. The accurately measured five-mile course is through pleasant parkland and is suitable not only for the inexperienced runner but also for the serious competitor who is trying for a personal best time.
Entry fees are £5 for non-affiliated runners and £4 for running club members.
Everyone will receive a St Gemma's Race medal and there are awards and prizes for the winning times in the different age groups.
St Bede's AC and St Theresa's AC who are helping organise this event for St Gemma's.
