Bradford City goalkeeper Gary Walsh has rejoined his former club Middlebrough on loan and will play in tomorrow's live Sky TV match at Manchester City.
Boro moved in for Walsh after their former City keeper Mark Schwarzer broke his thumb and Manchester United's Mark Bosnich rejected the chance to move to the Riverside
The one-month deal has a 24 hour recall clause written in.
Tomorrow's game will be Walsh's first Prem-iership action for more than ten months.
Manager Chris Hutchings said: "It is an opportunity for Gary to play first team football in the Premiership.
"Matt Clarke is playing well at the moment, but we need quality keepers for cover and competition.
"That is why we have Gary Walsh and Aidan Davison as well, but it is difficult to keep the two keepers who are not in the first team happy."
Walsh's last outing for City was in October when he helped them to beat Leicester 3-1 at Valley Parade.
A bout of flu cost him his place for the next match at Liverpool and gave Matt Clarke his chance.
Clarke sparkled at Anfield and shortly after that Walsh had to undergo two knee operations which caused him to miss the rest of the season.
The 32-year-old keeper has worked hard on his fitness since then and featured in the Intertoto Cup campaign.
He has also appeared in friendlies and reserve matches but has been unable to dislodge Clarke as first choice.
Walsh who began his career at Manchester United joined City first on loan and then in a £500,000 transfer from Boro in the 1997-98 season and was an ever present during their Division One promotion campaign.
He had established himself as a leading Premiership keeper at the start of last season when illness and injury put him out of action.
City's Worthington Cup second round, first leg match at Darlington on Tuesday is all-ticket. Tickets are on sale from the Valley Parade ticket office. Seating costs £10 for adults and £6 concessions, standing £7 adults and £4 concessions.
