Pudsey Congs were crowned Division One champions for the first time.
Their triumph was confirmed when their decider against second-placed Bradford & Bingley was abandoned as a draw because of bad light with five overs remaining.
The ending may have been anti-climactic but the celebrations certainly weren't. Skipper Matthew Doidge described it as 'the proudest moment of my career' as he lifted the championship trophy aloft.
And he added: "I have been playing in the Bradford League since 1986 and this is the trophy I have always wanted to win. I have played once for Yorkshire, enjoyed cup triumphs with the Yorkshire Cricket Association and won the Priestley Cup with Farsley, but this is the biggest moment of my career.
"But I am fortunate to have such a good team. Everybody has worked very hard."
He also paid tribute to the man who missed the big day - Yorkshire off spinner James Middlebrook.
Doidge had led from the front in the final match. His side looked in trouble at 92 for five as paceman Richard McCarthy took four wickets, but Doidge rescued them with a fine innings of 47 and he received good support from Neil Gill (27no).
Their total of 168 for seven proved far too many for Bradford & Bingley who labour-ed from the start and never broke the stranglehold Congs placed on them.
The bowlers were backed by some superb fielding. Andy Bethel took a great catch to remove top scorer McCarthy while wicket-keeper Gary Brook produced a superb stumping to dismiss Alex Stead.
Bradford & Bingley were on the brink of defeat at 93 for eight when the end came.
Cleckheaton confirmed themselves in third place when they scored a three-wicket win at a Yorkshire Bank side playing their final game in the Bradford League.
Paul Winrow (60) and Mark Gill (40) set up the triumph as they overhauled Yorkshire Bank's total of 184 for five.
Lidget Green, also dropping out of the league, also suffered a final-day defeat. They lost by eight wickets to Farsley who were guided to their success by opener Chris Taylor who made an unbeaten 75.
Baildon put their recent poor form behind them as they beat Pudsey St Law-rence by 135 runs to clinch fourth place.
Simon Davies (68) and Paul Spragg (56) provided the foundation for a total of 221 for nine and their work was built on by Craig Hitchenor (5-29) and Mushtaq Ahmed (3-11) as St Lawrence were dismissed for just 86.
Murphy Walwyn produced another explosive batting display as East Bierley defeated relegated Windhill by eight wickets. Walwyn smashed eight sixes and five fours as he made a rapid 83 not out and capitalised on a fine opening stand of 137 by Richard Gould (75) and Dermot McGrath (58) as East Bierley overhauled a Windhill total of 269 which included a fine 81 from opener David Paynter.
Bottom team Drighlington had only nine men for their match at Hanging Heaton and suffered an eight-wicket defeat. Drighlington only made 95 and that proved no test for Hanging Heaton.
