Two of the UK's leading voices on social enterprise are together for a business lunch in the region next month.
Bradford peer Baroness Thornton of Manningham is to chair the lunch at the Leeds Marriott Hotel on October 9 when business commentator Will Hutton speaks on social enterprise in the British economy.
Baroness Thornton has served as Public Affairs Advisor to the Co-operative Wholesale Society and worked with the Co-operative Bank on business development during an association of more than 30 years with the Co-Operative movement.
Will Hutton, chief executive of the Industrial Society and former editor-in-chief of the Observer, is a leading media economist.
"To hear either of them is a rare opportunity but together they're unmissable," says Brian Selby, President of the Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Co-operative Council which is organising the event. For details contact Sean Bish on (0113) 2702121.
