THE popular Bronte Way nine-mile run is being staged by Keighley & Craven Athletics Club next month.
Entry will be taken right up to and on the day - Sunday, October 15 - but transport is only guaranteed to the first 120 entrants.
Runners are bussed to the start at Wycoller country park near Trawden, Colne, before following a nine-mile off-road route back to Haworth which takes in Watersheddles and Ponden reservoirs and Bronte Bridge.
Back by demand are the T-shirts for all entrants - plus finish in Haworth Main Street.
"The emphasis is on having a good time socially as well as the competitive element and there will be food at the Fleece Inn after the finish," said a race organiser.
Details of the race - entry for which is £5 - are available from Kevin Hopkinson on 01535-606611 ext 231 (day) or 01756 794979 (evening). Or e-mail at: kevin.hopkinson newsquest.co.uk
Record-holders for the race which has been going since 1989 are Gary Oldfield (50 mins 39 secs) and Carol Greenwood (57-12), both set in 1997.
