Chris Loftus (left) and James Callaghan won the team prize in Sunday's gruelling Yorkshireman off-road marathon..
They claimed the Yorkshireman Trophy after completing the classic moorland course in 3hours 25minutes 54 seconds. The route covers a full marathon distance of just over 26 miles, taking in the moorland hills around Haworth.
First individual runner was Bradford-Airedale's Simon Shoesmith in 3:23:08 despite the stamina-sapping mud and slippery conditions on some sections.
Pauline Oldfield (3:55:30) made it a Bradford Airedale double by being the first women back in 15th place overall. First ladies' team prize went to Bingley's Mary Green and Helen Livingstone in 51st place with a time of 4:25:14. First mixed team was husband and wife duo, Chris and Liz Tomes, from Keighley and Craven AC, 23rd overall in 4:00:10.
Over 300 competitors made light of a damp and dull day. Almost all made it back to base at Westfield Lodge on Penistone Hill.
