Bulls skipper Robbie Paul has hinted that Paul Deacon will keep the scrum-half slot for Friday night's play-off showdown with St Helens at Knowsley Road.
The Kiwi made an impressive return at Hull on Sunday after five weeks on the sidelines through injury and was being widely tipped to partner brother Henry against Saints' star half-back duo Tommy Martyn and Sean Long.
But Robbie says: "You never know with Matty (Elliott) but I probably don't expect to start the game. Paul Deacon has been in great form and I have only been back for one game and that was a loss.
"The great thing at this stage for us is that everyone is fit and that puts pressure on the starting 13. Everyone always sees it as Robbie Paul against Paul Deacon but Henry needs to watch out as well.
"It's the time of year when we just have to get the players doing the business out on the field. There is no favourtism from Matty on selection.
"This is do or die time and if a player has to be disapppointed, he has to be disappointed - it might be me!
"Deacs is one of the best tactical thinking players I have seen and that started as soon as he came into the side a couple of years ago."
Meanwhile, the Bulls' youth policy has brought further reward with young forwards Stuart Fielden and Jamie Peacock named in the Tetley's Bitter Super League Dream Team.
The pair have been in outstanding form this season and are among nine Bulls players named in the 24-man England squad for the forthcoming World Cup.
The Dream Team, selected by a panel of Rugby League journalists, is made up entirely of players involved in the play-offs.
It includes six players from Wigan, three from Friday's opponents Saints, and one each from Saturday's elimination play-off opponents Leeds and Castleford.
Perhaps the biggest surprise is the inclusion of the Rhinos' Aussie winger Graham Mackay.
Dream Team: Radlinski (Wigan); Robinson (Wigan), Renouf (Wigan), Eagar (Castleford), Mackay (Leeds); Martyn (St Helens), Long (St Helens); Fielden (Bradford), Cunningham (St Helens), O'Connor (Wigan), Peacock (Bradford), Betts (Wigan), Farrell (Wigan).
