DONOR sessions have been arranged in the hope of finding a suitable bone marrow donor for an eight-year-old leukaemia victim.
Peter and Kate Gales, of Burley-in-Wharfedale, are hoping that as many people as possible will turn out to take a simple test that could save their son's life.
The test run by the National Blood Transfusion Service needs only five mls of extra blood to place people on the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust.
The news that a donor has been found for fellow patient at St James' Hospital, in Leeds, Molly-Ann Barnett, has given hope to the family.
Blood donor sessions for the appeal will be held in the main hall at Wesley Hall, Boroughgate, on Wednesday, October 4 from 2.30 to 4pm and 7 to 9.30pm.
