A Keighley nursery has got top marks from Ofsted. The Heather Martin Nursery, in Oakworth Road, is praised on all aspects of learning and provision.

The report says: "It is well managed and staff are enthusiastic, work hard and create a bright, stimulating and imaginative environment, enabling children of all abilities to play, learn and make good progress."

Assessment of language and literacy was the only weakness Ofsted said should be built on.

Vivien Nowell, the nursery's officer in charge, says: "We are all pleased that the hard work of the team to set and achieve high learning goals for the children in a happy and caring environment has been recognised and praised by Ofsted.

"The staff deserve particular praise, as without their hard work and dedication we could not have achieved this excellent result."

The Heather Martin Nursery caters for children of students at Keighley College.
