Queensbury almost let victory slip at home to Birkenshaw in the Premier Division.
Leading 32-1 with just 15 minutes to go, Queensbury had used all their substitutes when two players were injured which reduced them to 11 men. Birkenshaw hit back to make the final score 32-23.
Stand off Johnny Feather broke the early deadlock with a penalty.
Young prop forward Darren Wilkinson came off the bench to cross for the first try converted by Feather, then Jarrod Toulson opened Birkenshaw's account with a drop goal.
Two defensive lapses by the visitors were pounced upon by winger Steven Eyles and forward Mathew Galtress and with Feather again making no mistake, Queensbury turned around 20-1 ahead.
Feather kicked a penalty after the restart and converted one of the two tries by hooker Stephen Senior and prop Andrew Cannon.
As Queensbury hit back, full back Morton Robinson, centres Jason Brooksbank and Mark Holden scored tries followed by one from speedy prop Andy Redmond. Toulson managed three conversions but Queensbury held out to maintain their unbeaten record.
In Division One Undercliffe were thrashed 60-2 at Littleborough, but Division Two pacesetters West Bowling A enjoyed a 47-12 success at home to Emley Moor. Stand off Jason Woolham scored two tries and kicked nine goals and a drop goal. Mark Dunning and Paul Priestley scored two tries and Dean Garside one.
Victoria Rangers made it two successive wins in Division Three, beating Shelf Lions 21-0.
Queensbury A lost their unbeaten record 33-28 at Boothtown after fielding a scratch side.
In Division Four West Bowling B lost 36-18 at home to Dodworth. Tries came from Johnny Johnson with two and Julian Haddock. Paul Ali was on target with three goals.
Shipley continued their bright start in Division Five with a sparkling seven try display to win 40-11 at home to Littleborough A. They crossed through Guy Dunn twice, John Askham, Sam Bentley, Adam Dutton and Alan Hobson. Darren Ellerton then added the final try to his six goals.
Division Six new boys Victoria Rangers A had a 42-12 win at home to Meltham All Blacks, while Bank Top Harriers lost 50-6 at Huddersfield YMCA A.
Stand off Lee Fowler scored a consolation try converted by Paul Hamer.
