Chairman Geoffrey Richmond has dismissed suggestions that Bradford City are poised to bolster their squad.
They have been linked with Scotland internationals Colin Hendry and Christian Dailly.
Coventry centre back Hendry and Blackburn's defender or midfield player Dailly are both believed to be available.
But despite hitting the bottom of the Premiership for the first time and having eight players out injured, Richmond has dismissed all talk of transfers.
"We are not actively looking to sign anyone," said Richmond.
City are currently stretched for defensive cover.
Andrew O'Brien, Ian Nolan and Andy Myers face lengthy absences while David Wetherall missed the 7-2 win over Darlington in the Worthington Cup on Monday.
Their list of injured players also includes £2.5million record signing David Hopkin and Welsh international striker Dean Saunders.
"We have a fortnight's break for the internationals after Saturday and we expect a lot of the injured players to be available for our next game at Manchester City on Saturday, October 14," Richmond added.
The draw for the third round of the Worthington Cup will be broadcast live on Sky Sports 1 at 6.30pm tomorrow.
