Bradford Chamber of Commerce is lobbying to keep support for small and ethnic minority business in the City when the West Yorkshire Small Business Service is set up in April.
Chamber president Judith Donovan, pictured, told members that talks had taken place between the Chamber and stakeholders of Business Link Bradford & District, which is being scrapped.
She told members the Chamber had argued that support to small firms and companies run by Asian bosses should be given locally instead of from the West Yorkshire Small Business Service.
Bradford Business Link chairman John Watson, who was at the meeting, said he expected Business Link board members to give the green light to the proposal.
