A businessman who started a printing firm as a one-man band is now creating new jobs as he invests £2 million in purpose-built premises.
As the business takes delivery of the latest £1.2 million printing equipment at the new factory in Drighlington, Jason Clay, 28, will take great pride in the first job to come off the press - for his old school Whitcliffe Mount.
And the man who has placed the order is his former art teacher Mr Abbott, who helped nurture Cleckheaton-born Jason's capabilities as a designer.
Mr Clay set up Reprovision Studios in a tiny rented building in Leeds when he was just 21. Shortly afterwards he moved to bigger premises in Victoria Terrace, Cleckheaton, and created 18 jobs.
By the end of the month, the firm will be in a 10,500 sq ft purpose-built premises on the Adwalton Business Park in nearby Drighlington where a further six jobs will be created.
The nature of the business is also changing as Reprovision becomes a one-stop shop in pre-press and print services.
The firm now has household name clients on its books, such as Halifax Plc, Bupa, Hammond Suddards, JJB Sports, BT Mobile and the Department of Trade and Industry.
Mr Clay said: "The company is doing so well because it is giving customers what they really want - a combination of best practice in traditional printing and the speed and efficiency of modern digital methods.
"I am delighted to be moving into bigger premises and taking on more people. Our turnover during the year just ending was £1.3 million and we are on course to make that figure £3 million over the next three years," he added.
