AMY Edmondson may be watching with envy as Britain's top athletes go for Olympic gold in Sydney - but the swimmer is hoping to make a splash at the next games in Athens in four years time. The 13-year-old Horsforth School pupil has been selected to swim for Great Britain in Canada in December as a member of the Leeds Swimming Team. She will compete in a three-team competition against North America and Canada. And her school is touting her as a future Olympian. Amy, from Horsforth, said: "I'm hoping to get there - all I can do is just keep plugging away. I love swimming and I train seven times a week for two hours each time at the Leeds International Pool. I don't have any long-term plans at the moment, I'm just hoping to keep going and enjoy my swimming."And this October, Amy is also swimming in the English Schools Competition in the Isle of Man.
