If you ever wanted proof that Bollywood is driving people crazy - this is it.
To mark the Bite the Mango film festival, the Asda superstore in Rooley Lane, Bradford, showed their first-ever Asian drive-in movie. And Bollywood fever reached new heights as hundreds of eager cinema-goers turned up to watch the hot film, "Kaho naa...pyaar hai" (Go on, say it's love)
But whereas viewers back in Bombay would have to settle for treats from a rickety stall, Bradford viewers - in a unique mix of east and west and for one night only - were able to take advantage of the Glides Guides service: ushers on roller skates whizzing customer orders of popcorn, Bombay Mix, soft drinks and halal hotdogs to every car on request. One of the ushers, Lisa Walker, is pictured right.
Sally Hopson, Asda's customer services director, said: "At Asda we are fast becoming the home of drive-in movies, so we are delighted to champion Bradford's film festivities."
