A firm which gives food safety advice is expanding at such a rate it has appointed a managing director as its founder becomes chairman.
Adele Adams, 29, of Skipton, has become managing director of Verner Wheelock Associates, as its founder Professor Verner Wheelock becomes chairman. The company, based at Broughton Hall, Skipton, is celebrating its tenth anniversary this week with a private lunch at the hall and a lecture from Professor Wheelock.
The firm started in Bradford but was forced out of the city because it found itself in the red light district.
To mark the event, more than 30 key clients from the food industry and the firm's staff have been invited to the lunch on Friday.
Adele Adams is responsible for the development of the company's training portfolio and will also be working closely with Professor Wheelock on specialised consultancy projects.
Before joining the firm, Adele, a graduate of the University of Nottingham, gained managerial experience in the meat and poultry industries.
