OTLEY specialist paper maker Garnett has strengthened its product development team with the appointment of a
development officer.
Samantha Garton, 27, (pictured left) will be responsible for generating new products - either as an internal initiative or as a direct result of customer enquiries.
"I am already impressed with Garnett's product range, so I know this is going to be a tough postion, but my objective is to satisfy market demand by helping Garnett to stay at the forefront of paper innovation," she said.
Her new job takes her to all the company's departments.
"Every day here is different, taking me across all departments from sales, for customer trends and enquiries, to the shop floor, running product trials," she added.
After getting a BSc Honours degree in paper science Samantha worked for 18 months as a research chemist at Allied Collides in Bradford. She then worked for four years at tissue manufacturers Kruger Tissue, in Stockport, as the quality assurance manager.
