Laycock Women's Institute has carved out a lasting memorial for the new millennium.
The group has installed a millennium stone at the top of Goose Eye Brow to commemorate the event.
President Karen Walbank and past president Margaret Isher-wood unveiled the monument at a ceremony on Saturday morning.
Karen says: "The WI put another stone up at Hill Clough in 1977 to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee and we thought it would be nice to do something for the millennium.
"We decided to erect this stone at the other end of the village to match the first one and also to bring some recognition to the WI. We also hope to plant some daffodils around it in the near future."
Members of the WI expressed their thanks to Holgate Construc-tion which supplied the stone and Keighley Tree Services which erected the monument.
