Katrina Wood is banking on wowing Keighley audiences as she travels from north to west for her latest role.
The amateur actress will perform in the town for the first time as she plays the lead in the musical Oklahoma!
Katrina travels the North of England in her job as a financial consultant, but this time will be in the Old West.
She plays a farm girl, Laurey, who is wooed by a cowboy in one of the most popular shows by Sound of Music creators Rodgers and Hammerstein.
Katrina is an experienced performer on Yorkshire's amateur stage, particularly in Halifax where she recently starred in Mack and Mabel.
She impressed Oklahoma! producer Keith Marsden in a very different role to the demure Laurey, that of street girl Nancy in Oliver!
Keith says: "She's a versatile girl. She's an actress rather than simply a 'leading lady'. She's an accomplished dancer and has a lovely voice."
Katrina may be a new face to Keighley audiences, but she shares the stage with old hands like Richard Aldham, Peter Whitley, Barbara Boothroyd and Chris Blackie.
Oklahoma! is presented on October 16-21 at Victoria Hall, including a Saturday matinee. Book at Keighley Information Centre in the town hall.
