A Sutton teenager has won second place in her class at Wembley's prestigious Horse of the Year Show.
Kirsty Ahern, 14, came second on Hollyoak Tallisman in the mountain and moorland class. She qualified for the world famous competition on the five-year-old stallion at a show in Solihull. Kirsty, a pupil at South Craven school, was also at the show on Saturday riding Hagend Special Edition, another five-year-old stallion which she part owns. She rode in the 13.2 hands show pony class and achieved sixth place.
Her proud mum Jane says: "She's been riding since she was three but it was her first time at Wembley. It was really nerve-wracking but she thoroughly enjoyed it."
