Outgoing Bradford Bulls coach Matthew Elliott has tipped the club to lift more silverware under new boss Brian Noble next season.
Elliott's four-year reign ended in disappointment at Wigan on Saturday night when the Bulls slid to a 40-12 defeat and he will head off home to Australia next week to start work alongside Aussie legend Mal Meninga at Canberra Raiders.
But despite their failure to grab a place in the Grand Final against St Helens at Old Trafford, Elliott believes the Bulls will continue to be a major force in the British game.
"I am extremely confident I am leaving the club in good hands and I know they will have success here next year," he said.
"The foundations are excellent and with some exciting players coming in during the close season the signs look very good. Brian has been privy to all the decisions over the last four years and he is just moving over into the driver's seat."
Elliott could not hide his disappointment, though, after the Warriors ran in seven tries to end the Bulls' dream of completing a Challenge Cup and Grand Final double.
"I've had five rewarding, and in the main pretty successful, years but it was a disappointing way to end," he said. "We know we were capable of beating Wigan but they played a little smarter than us on the night.
"The players have held their hands up and recognised that Wigan played better than us. We didn't get the chance to have another crack at the Grand Final but I am sure they will next year.
"It's probably the most tackles we have missed all season, but it was because we were over-working rather than the opposite.
"Over the next few days I will probably drink about a thousand beers, hug as many people and shed a few tears. But I start work at Canberra on October 23 and have got to start getting my head around that.
"When I look at the period of time I've been here it's been a very successful one and this year hasn't been the worst year of all time because we did win the Challenge Cup.
"It's just a little frustrating when you know you were capable of winning both titles, but that wasn't to be.
"The fans have been fabulous and the send-off they gave us probably showed that they realised we didn't fail through lack of effort."
