Small to medium-sized firms in Bradford are being helped to develop an Internet strategy by a growing company in the city.

On-biz.net was originally set up in Wakefield, but bosses Alan Hazelhurst and David Boyce moved the firm to Bradford earlier this year after the business expanded.

The company has a wide range of on-line services to offer small to medium-sized firms throughout the north.

These include setting up Internet links and designing websites for companies, as well as providing electronic commerce stores for companies wanting to extend their market on the Net.

The e-commerce store allows firms to promote their goods on the Internet and customers to buy them using a specially-developed accounting system

The firm started as a two-man business with Alan Hazelhurst using his management and sales skills and David Boyce providing the website technical knowledge that the firm needs.

The company now employs six staff in Bradford and is has started its first franchise in Cheshire.

Alan Hazelhurst said: "We have also developed a product called Biz Wizard which helps firms update their own websites using pictures."
