FOUR South Craven students have secured places on the Yorkshire Clubs youth development squads.
Matthew Wareing, a hooker, and Matthew Shuttleworth, who plays at fly-half, who both play for Wharfedale have been selected for the Under-16 squad. They have previously represented the Yorkshire Schools A team and were selected for the Yorkshire Clubs squad following district trials.
They will be in the team which takes on Cheshire at the Sheffield Tigers ground on Sunday.
Full back Matthew Langstaff, 13, of Glusburn and fly-half Steven Moon, 12, of Eastburn, have been selected for the Clubs Under 13s development team - The Cowboys.
Matthew was spotted playing at the Keighley Rugby Union Club while Steven was selected from Wharfedale.
The boys make their debut in a tournament being played at Keighley RUFC's Utley ground on Sunday.
