Solicitors and accountants have teamed up to give advice to businesses on the limited liability partnerships (LLP) legislation which comes into force tomorrow.
Steve Gash, managing partner at Bradford-based accountants Clough and Company said: "As a self-employed person, you and your personal assets are at risk if anything goes wrong.
"If you are in a partnership you are also at risk from of-fences made by your partner or partners such as failure to make payments."
The company has teamed up with Last Cawthra Feather, also with offices in the dis-trict, to offer advice to compa-nies.
Susan Clark, head of the busi-ness law team at the solicitor's firm said: "The transfer of a business from existing part-nerships to LLP is particularly attractive as the effect of doing so is mainly tax neutral."
