The first group of students has been presented with certificates of achievement after completing a 12 week ICT training programme at a Keighley cyber caf.
Cyber-Dine Computer Training & Gaming organised the course after securing funding support from Bradford Community & Continuing Education Service for the delivery of Computer Training.
Pearline Hingston, Lifelong Learning Planning Co-ordinator, presented the certificates of achievement to the first group of ICT students who completed the training programme.
Cyber-Dine partners Michael Dawson and Danielle Briston are delighted with the latest positive turn of events, and believe this to be a valuable first step in the right direction for the local community to access computer training.
The ICT training programme will be delivered on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am - 12 noon for a period of 12 weeks, and students have the option of achieving the Using ICT OCR qualification.
All but one of the current students, who has secured employment, will be progressing and developing their IT skills by undertaking further IT training at Cyber-Dine.
Michael said: "Cyber-Dine offers a friendly, secure and welcoming learning environment with all training delivered by qualified and experienced staff. Personal tuition and guidance is enhanced by the limited class sizes. The next scheduled training will start after Easter."
Michael and Danielle encourage people to call in to discuss their IT training needs with them. Since class sizes are limited every effort is made to ensure students have access to IT training to suit their needs.
Cyber-Dine is based at 2 Hanover Street, and is open seven days a week from 9am to 9pm.
