Steeton Male Voice Choir is to stage a marathon sing-along to raise cash for farmers hit by foot and mouth disease.
Male singers from choirs and churches are being invited to join them for the six-hour relay.
Different teams will sing at set times during the May 12 event in order to achieve a continuous flow of music. Proceeds will be donated to the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution, which was recently pledged a £500,000 aid package by Prince Charles.
Choir spokesman John Jones says the singing will begin at 10am and finish at 4pm in Skipton Parish Church. He says: "The church will be open throughout the day and members of the public are invited to listen and make their donations to this worthy cause."
Anyone wishing to take part or contribute in any way should phone secretary Len Wilson on 01274 569870, or Alan Clark on 01282 866671.
