The 20-year-old partner of a millionaire racing tipster has spoken out after he was jailed for two years for indecently assaulting his au pair.

Tammy Connor, the mother of former maths teacher Kevin Booth's two children, told how he expected the worst from the judge at Bradford Crown Court.

Booth spoke to her by telephone at their large detached house before he was sentenced on Monday.

"He told me to prepare for the worst. He said it doesn't look good," she said.

"He said it was not looking good, and felt the judge and the jury didn't like him."

Booth turned up at court on one day wearing a comic mask.

A tearful Miss Connor said Booth believed that if he was found guilty he would get between one and two years.

She said she was shocked by the sentence and would have to rely on her family for support.

She had not been in court during the trial because Booth told her to stay at home and look after the children.

Booth, who ran his racing tipster business from Broughton Hall business park, near Skipton, has a passion for Egyptology.

Miss Connor said they had been together more than three years and met when she came to look after Booth's three other children by his former wife, Nancy.

The couple live at Wingfield, a large rambling house with a twisting driveway, off Hollins Lane, Utley.
