Some of Bradford's best-known car dealerships are on the move in deals costing millions of pounds.
CD Bramall, which operates Nissan and Lexus dealerships from premises in Northbrook Street, Bradford, has moved to a £4 million purpose-built complex.
And the city's Toyota dealership, currently operated by the Perrys group, is to join the empire of Bradford-based JCT600 in a multi-million pound deal.
CD Bramall used to be based in the former Jaguar dealership in Northbrook Street but has just moved to a new centre off Manchester Road. The site, which was a derelict mill, has been transformed into a state-of-the-art complex called the Bramall Business Park.
Bill Gillespie, sales manager for the Nissan operation, said the company was proud of its new home.
He said: "We had to move because the current building in Northbrook Street simply wasn't good enough for what we wanted to achieve.
"The new site is six or seven acres and is a superb complex. It has cost in the region of £4 million. It was a derelict site but there was a listed building there which we have incorporated into the new premises."
The Northbrook Street complex, which opened in 1989, was built for Appleyard Jaguar but that dealership later moved to Canal Road.
CD Bramall, part of a national chain of 77 dealerships, hope to recruit more staff shortly and bring the total workforce at the two dealerships to around 50.
Meanwhile, JCT600, the Bradford-based chain of dealerships run by Jack Tordoff, is to take over the Toyota Bradford franchise previously run by Perrys.
Jack Tordoff, chairman of JCT 600, said: "The Bradford dealership represents our first Toyota centre and is a valuable addition to the world-class marques within the JCT 600 Group.
"Our acquisition of the franchise will help secure a long-term future for Toyota in the local area. The staff at the dealership have worked hard for customers and we will be relying on this team to provide the best in sales and after sales service."
JCT 600 is still family owned. The group has 20 franchises, spread across 17 dealerships throughout Yorkshire and the North.
