Bulls' try ace Michael Withers has not given up on his Twickenham dream despite confirmation yesterday that he has broken a bone in a hand.
The player was awaiting a specialist's report today which will decide whether a pinning operation is required but coach Brian Noble remains optimistic of his chances of facing St Helens in the Challenge Cup final on Saturday, April 28.
"Michael will miss the next couple of games for sure but the bone involved is usually a quick healer," said Noble.
"He's desperate to play in the final and playing with it strapped is another possibility.
"Graeme Bradley had the same sort of injury prior to one of the previous finals against St Helens and got through the game fine.
"It's something we will have to assess as time goes on but ideally we would want him out there."
Winger Tevita Vaikona is again a doubt for Thursday night's Super League visit to Wakefield.
His ankle is still very sore," explained Noble. "Daniel Gartner should be back and I've added Alex Wilkinson and Rob Parker to the squad."
