AN APPEAL to help an arson-hit sports and social club has received a boost to take its total to more than £4,000.
Weston Lane Sports and Social Club was attacked by arsonists last November, with a blaze gutting their Otley clubhouse. Since then, their Walk On Appeal, which is supported by the Wharfedale Observer has aimed to raise money to help the club in its time of need.
And this week, the Otley Line Dancing Group, led by charity fundraiser Maureen Thackwray, donated a further £1,200 to the appeal during a line dance evening in Otley Civic Centre.

Anyone wishing to donate to the appeal can send cheques/PO's made payable to the Walk On Appeal to Weston Lane Walk On Appeal, Wharfedale Observer, 9 Orchard Gate, Otley.
