Meet the Keighley girls who waged war on fellow competitors in a dance contest.
Their "Body Combat" routine surprised the judges and won them a trophy at a recent competition in Rawtenstall.
The youngsters attend freestyle classes run by Keighley dance and fitness tutor Julie Cardus at her Hi-Energy Studio.
For their latest routine they adapted moves from the Body Combat martial arts-based fitness routine.
Julie says the nine-strong team, whose members are aged eight to 12, has practised the routine for almost three months.
The girls also take separate classes in Body Combat, which uses moves from karate, kick boxing and tai-chi for fitness rather than self defence.
Julie says: "We used the Body Combat theme - dressed them in the gear and set the routine to Body Combat music.
"In the freestyle competition the scope is wide. Our routine was different, unusual, but we didn't know how it would go down."
Julie's adult team is now working on a funky hip-hop routine based on club dance styles.
During last months' contest in Rawtenstall about 20 of Julie's pupils were successful in solo classes.
"Every child came away with a trophy," she says. "We just walked it - we had a wonderful day."
