A band formed originally to play German 'Oompah' music at a local pub is providing a full 'wedding service'.

The ten strong band, whose members come from all musical disciplines, has now increased its repertoire so that it can perform at all kinds of functions as well as the Bavarian nights.

The band is led by former policeman Jens Hislop, of Haworth, who says: "We do not use amplifiers or any kind of electronic instrument, so our sound is totally acoustic and therefore traditional.

We have found the public prefer it that way."

He adds: " At weddings we can play ceremonial, celebratory or entertaining music."
