Moves to investigate ways to ease traffic congestion at one of the district's busiest junctions have been welcomed by town centre bosses in Shipley.
On Wednesday the Telegraph & Argus reported how Councillor Phil Thornton's (Lab, Shipley East) motion calling for an urgent investigation into potential measures to stop snarl-ups around Fox Corner had been passed by members of Bradford Council.
His call for the issue to be investigated has been backed by Councillor John Carroll (Con, Shipley West), the chairman of the Shipley Town Centre Development Partnership.
He said: "Fox Corner's already dealing with more traffic than it was designed for and when the Bingley relief road's completed it will make the problem even worse.
"It is a major traffic hub where something is urgently needed and once we get the results of a study we can look at what to do.''
