Thieves ramraided a Drighlington motorbike shop with a stolen 46-seater coach today.
The attackers completely flattened the metal shutter doors at the front of the Whitehall Motorcycle and Car Centre Ltd - opposite the Spotted Cow pub in Whitehall Road - during the incident at around 2am today.
But despite more than 50 bikes and numerous cars being housed in the building, only one machine was stolen.
Company director Gareth Humphries, pictured outside his business, said they had only been on the site for two months and had thought it a relatively safe area.
"All that appears to have been stolen is a KTM 250 motor cross bike," said Mr Humphries, who added they had a similar shop on the same road towards Leeds.
"It is ridiculous the amount of damage that has been done just for that. I couldn't believe the mess when I came down. I thought I was dreaming. A tank couldn't have caused more damage than the coach did."
Mr Humphries, who arrived on the scene at 4am, said scenes-of-crime officers were carrying out fingerprint searches and he believed a couple of witnesses had come forward.
Police and firefighters from Morley were called to the incident.
Firefighters attended after reports that petrol from the coach would need swilling away, but their services were not required.
The raiders left the coach in the wall of the shop before escaping.
The coach company, believed to be based in Armley, retrieved their vehicle in the early hours of the morning.
