A singer has returned from a life at sea to help youngsters in the Bradford district become stars of tomorrow.
For the past three years Paula Mercer, 29, pictured, has been entertaining audiences across the world, singing on board luxury cruise liners.
Now on dry land, she is setting up a children's theatre group - and she is backing Bradford's European Capital of Culture bid.
Paula, of Brow Top Road, Haworth, is calling for performing arts opportunities for youngsters as part of Bradford's bid.
She is helping youngsters herself by setting up Little Angels
She said: "If Bradford becomes capital of culture, cultural opportunities will open up for everyone - particularly children."
Paul, who has performed on stages across Bradford and done television work, hopes youngsters will put on shows once they have learned theatre skills.
Paula will teach singing, drama, tap dancing, and confidence building. Little Angels, for three to 16-year-olds, runs each Monday at Haworth Church Hall from April 23.
The sessions are: three to six year olds (4-5pm); seven to ten-year-olds (5-6pm); and over tens (6-7pm). For details ring Paula on (01535) 647374 or 07929 528267.
