Walkers and cyclists are now being allowed to use a section of the Leeds-Liverpool canal previously closed due to the crisis.
Following a risk assessment by British Waterways, the towpath has been reopened from the Metal Box swing bridge, in Shipley, through to Leache's swing bridge, Riddlesden.
Alan Bates, British Waterways manager for the Leeds-Liverpool canal, said: "We are doing everything possible to safely reopen popular towpaths, waterside sites and amenities.
"We are continuing to follow MAFF guidance as it develops and also continuing our risk assessments."
